SBT Mobile and Text Banking

In a restaurant, at the gym, in a checkout line, or at the gate before your flight – wherever you happen to be, SBT Mobile Banking is the convenience of online account access, right at your fingertips. Using Mobile Banking is as easy as logging in to our Mobile Web site from your phone's Internet browser or from our Mobile Banking Application ("App"), available for iPhone® and Android™. Plus, we offer SMS Text Banking, so registered users can receive balance, transaction, and branch or ATM location information via text messaging.


The choice is yours – Mobile Web, Mobile App, or Text Banking. Select any or all of SBT's Mobile Banking options during enrollment to use with your mobile phone(s). Available to SBT Consumer Online Banking users.


NEW!

Receive important account-related text message alerts on your mobile device! You specify the types of alerts you want to receive automatically, including: minimum balance and overdraft alerts, as well as daily balance alerts and notifications of specific checks clearing. Set up alerts for multiple accounts.


Enroll by logging in to your Online Banking profile. Click on the "Helpful Links" tab and go to "Account Alerts" to set up new alerts or change existing alerts.

Mobile Web

SBT's Mobile Web service delivers fast, free and secure access to your account information so you can make online banking transactions directly from your phone's mobile web browser, without the need to download a separate mobile App.

Access:

Enrolling in SBT Mobile Banking is fast, easy, and convenient. Log in to your SBT Online Banking account to get started.


If you are not already an SBT Online Banking customer, you will need to enroll first.


SBT Online Banking customers:

To enroll in SBT Mobile Banking, log in to Online Banking, click on the "Mobile Banking" tab and follow the instructions.


After enrolling your mobile phone you will receive a text message containing a link to our mobile site. Remember to save the link in your favorites for future use. Once you are enrolled, you can access SBT's Mobile Web via your saved bookmark and log in using your Online Banking User ID and password.


You must be a current Online Banking user and have an internet enabled phone in order to access SBT's Mobile Web. Data rate charges may apply from your mobile phone provider.

Mobile Apps

SBT's Mobile Banking Apps are designed specifically for your smartphone and use your phone's built-in functionality to provide you with fast and free access to your account information.

Access:

If you are not already an SBT Online Banking customer, you will need to enroll first. You must be a current Online Banking customer and have an internet enabled mobile phone that is capable of downloading and installing apps in order to use TouchBanking, SBT's Mobile banking app.


SBT Online Banking customers:

To enroll in SBT's Mobile Banking, log in to Online Banking, click on the "Mobile Banking" tab and follow the instructions.


After enrolling your phone in SBT's Mobile Banking you will receive a text message with a link to your phone's app market. Follow the link to download and install TouchBanking.


You can also download TouchBanking directly by searching for it in your phone's app market. TouchBanking is available from Apple's App Store and Google Play. Please note that you will not be able to use TouchBanking until you have completed the enrollment process.


SBT Mobile Banking is a free service. Data rate charges may apply from your mobile service provider.

Security

SBT Mobile Banking is secure.


SBT Mobile Banking was specifically developed to provide you with a safe and secure banking experience. Employing industry best practices with regards to security, SBT Mobile Banking has been assessed against industry security criteria by a number of independent system security experts.


SBT Mobile Banking offers the following security safeguards:

  • Authentication - Mobile browser and app customers are authenticated for every mobile banking interaction by username and password or by utilizing existing login credentials for single sign-on
  • Encryption - 128-bit encryption is used for all transactions within Mobile Banking
  • Fraud - Mobile Banking incorporates sophisticated mechanisms to detect fraud
  • Availability/Resilience - Behind the scenes, SBT Mobile Banking is protected against malicious attacks through software and server hardening measures
  • Auditability - Mobile Banking provides full audit capabilities through event logs and event-based reporting

SBT Mobile Banking does not save any files with personal or financial information on your phone. That information stays strictly within online banking. Some phones (e.g., BlackBerry, Android) have logo and branding files that are copied to the mobile device. Those files do not contain any personally identifiable information.


For your security, download our Mobile Apps directly from the App Store or Google Play via the link sent directly to your phone during enrollment. Those links are also available under the Mobile Apps tab on this page (how would this work?)


Phone lost or stolen?

In the event your phone is ever lost or stolen and you have activated SBT Mobile Banking, you can deactivate mobile banking service for that phone by logging in to your SBT Online Banking account.


Click on Mobile Banking, then locate the missing phone in the list of your Mobile Banking-enrolled devices and delete it to cancel Mobile Banking service for that device. You may also contact an SBT Mobile Banking representative who can help guide you through the process by calling 1-877-279-1300 during normal business hours.


We also recommend that you contact your mobile phone service provider for additional services, including device location or suspending your service until your device is recovered.

Text Banking

No smartphone? No problem. Text Banking allows you to access your account information via text messaging and does not require you to have a data plan or an internet connection.
